“Working with Sandy has helped in amazing ways . . . given me so much strength emotionally as I work through chemo and radiation. Her meditation techniques have kept me calm, where normally I’d be freaking out.”

The Therapy of Yoga

Yoga can heal: physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually.

Yoga has been around for thousands of years in India, and is akin to other mind/body traditions such as Tai Chi and QiGong (China). In Western society, yoga is mostly known for its physical practice, yet the ancient traditions of yoga go far beyond that. Patanjali, a revered sage who wrote the ‘Yoga Sutras’, described 8 parts or ‘limbs’ of the yogic path: moral restraints and observances; postures; breath work; focus; concentration; meditation; and deep self/God realization.

The physical benefit from your yoga mat is convincing, but imagine the potential of a full yoga practice and lifestyle!

A one-on-one session will provide highly personalized yoga practices to work through ailments, injuries and illness in your body. We work to integrate the many anatomical systems of the body (musculoskeletal, respiration, circulatory, digestion & elimination, lymphatic and immune). As well, we understand other energy systems that affect our being. Breath work, meditation and mindfulness bring peace of mind and are tools you can use off the mat.

Therapeutic 1-on-1 yoga can be highly beneficial.
